Dr. Aelita Skaržauskienė is a professor of Mykolas Romeris University’ Business and Media School. She possesses degree of Doctor of Social Sciences from the ISM University of Management and Economics (2009), however is active in a variety of related reseach themes (political science, health sciences, communication, etc.) also. In her research activities Dr. A.Skaržauskienė applies both knowledge of management and modern technologies-related disciplines such as business dynamics, systems thinking, chaos and complexity theories. She is publishing widely on many aspects in economics, management, political science, health sciences, and communication. Professor Aelita Skaržauskienė has a rich experience of participation in national and international research projects, including “Fostering Knowledge about the Relationship between Information and Communication Technologies and Public Spaces” (COST TU1306), “Interdisciplinarity in Research Programming and Funding Cycles (INTREPID)” (COST TD1408), “Integrated Transformations of E-Health Development” (European Social Fund), etc.. She has also headed a number of research projects, including “Impact of Social Technologies upon Development of Collective Intelligence in the Networked Society” (Global Grant of the Research Council of Lithuania). Prof. A.Skaržauskienė successfully applies her academic knowledge in practice. She had held positions of the dean of the Faculty of Social Technologies (Mykolas Romeris University), the director of Business and Media School Business and Media School of Mykolas Romeris University in partnership with Middlesex University, a member of the Working Group on the National Smart Specialization, holds the position of the editor-in-chief of the academic journal “Social Technologies”.
