Dr. Ieva Pleikienė is a senior research fellow at the Institute of Art Research (Vilnius Academy of Arts). She has acquired her Ph.D. from Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2005 and has been lecturing at the academy since then, she also holds the position of the head of the Department of Doctoral Studies of the academy. The major research interests of Dr. Ieva Pleikienė lay in the fields of the Lithuanian art of the Soviet period and marginal phenomena of art, however she is also engaged in history of art, morphology of art and related fields. Dr. Ieva Pleikienė has participated in a number of national and international research projects and currently heads activities of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network ArcInTexETN at Vilnius Academy of Arts.
