Vaidas Kalpokas is a sociologist mainly engaged in criminological research. He has acquired his MA in sociology from Vilnius University in 1998 and has been engaged in an amplitude of research activities of the Law Institute of Lithuania ever since. During his professional research career Vaidas Kalpokas has acquired significant knowledge and experience in a variety of social research methods and techniques that allow him to play important roles in a number of social research projects both on national (e.g. “Homicide in Lithuania”, funded by the Research Council of Lithuania) and international scale (e.g. International Self-Report Delinquency Study (ISRD-2 and ISRD-3), International Crime Victims Survey, International Crime Business Survey).
